SPU Executive (To be based in Estate)

Principal Responsibilities

  • To assist the manager in the running of the day to day operation.
  • Responsible for all types of quality checking.
  • Supervise and monitor works carried out by staffs and workers in Seed
    Production Unit (Field and Lab).
  • To make sure Seed Garden and SPU is well maintained.
  • To make sure all breeding palms are healthy, numbered and identify.
  • Provide feedback to Manager and recommend for improvement in operation for quality management.
  • To produce monthly report to Manager.
  • Be able to maintain sufficient, disciplined, motivated and harmonious workforce.
  • Attend to other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Manager from time to time.
  • Must ensure compliance to work procedures and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 – 3 years experiences in oil palm plantation.
  • Degree holder in Plantation Management, Agriculture or any related field.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with computer programs.
  • High priority on quality and goal oriented.
SPU Supervisor (To be based in Estate)

Principal Responsibilities

  • Organizes and directs the daily activities.
  • Responsible for all types of quality checking.
  • To make sure seed production unit is well maintained.
  • Provide feedback to Manager and recommend for improvement in operation for quality management.
  • To produce monthly report to Manager.
  • Attend to other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Manager from time to time.
  • Must ensure compliance to safety standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 – 4 years experiences in supervision of workers.
  • SPM / STPM / Diploma holder in Plantation Management, Agriculture or any related fields.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with computer programs.
  • High priority on quality and goal oriented.
OPERATION MANAGER (To be based in Estate)

Principal Responsibilities

  • In charge of day-to-day running of estate operation.

Requirements

  • Possess Diploma/Degree in Plantation Management / Agricultural Science or in any related discipline.
  • Minimum seven (7) years working experience in executive or managerial position in oil palm plantation.
  • Experience in managing peat and mineral soil estate will be an added advantage.
RESEARCH OFFICER / PLANT BREEDER

Principal Responsibilities

  • To monitor all research crossing (DXD, DXT, TXP, TXT)
  • To monitor all breeding work (Yield Recording, Bunch Analysis and Vegetative Measurement)
  • To compile and to analyse research data
  • Look after research project such as:
      • Ganoderma Tolerance Planting Material
      • Compact palm planting material
      • Elite Tenera
      • Etc

Requirements

  • Possess Degree in Breeding/Agriculture/Plant Science/Genetic from recognized university.
  • At least 2 – 3 years of experience in oil palm research
Lab Manager (Based In Kuching)

Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall laboratory operation and implementation of MS ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management system.
  • Ensure timely execution of chemical analysis and issuance of test results to the customers.
  • Oversee the laboratory management on marketing, administrative, financial and purchasing.
  • Schedule maintenance and development of equipment calibration and repair. QAQC procedures, measurement uncertainty, method development, validation and verification procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate internal audit, external assessment, risk assessment and management system review.
  • Administer laboratory’s participation in proficiency testing program, staff training and competency monitoring.
  • Liaise with customers on the technical support of the analytical testing services.
  • Ensure continuous compliance of laboratory safety, requirements and regulations.

Requirements

  • Possesses Master’s Degree/ Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in the laboratory management.
  • Registered with Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM).
  • Possesses knowledge on MS ISO/IEC 17025 laboratorymanagement system.
  • Possesses excellent technical knowledge with hands on expericence on a wide range of standard analytical methonds, equipment and instrumentation for fertilizer, plant, soil, water and FFB analysis.
  • Familiar with laboratory safety practices, policies and legal requirements.
AUDIT ASSISTANT (To be based in HQ, Miri)

Principal Responsibilities

  • Perform audit assignments (financial / corporate audits) as per approved audit plan and programmes including preliminary works, ie. determine data requirements, verify and analyse available data prior to commencement of proper audit work.
  • Prepare working papers, write up, audit findings and supporting documents for audit report.
  • Prepare audit findings and recommendations with the auditee during exit conference.
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations for improving performance.
  • Assist in preparing and compiling Board of Audit Committee (BAC) papers.
  • Prepare the departmental budget and monitor the travelling mandays and costs to ensure expenses within the approved budget.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or its’ equivalent from a tertiary institution.
  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Team player and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to work with little supervision, willing to travel on short notice and possess valid driving license.
  • Possess strong knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, rules and regulations.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Principal Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation and compilation of data for monthly management reporting.
  • Process accounting transactions, such as receipts and payments, receivables and payables, fixed assets etc.
  • Prepare reconciliations – bank, creditors’ and debtors’ reconciliation and any other reconciliation.
  • Assist in preparation and compilation of documents and transaction recording for treasury function.

Requirements:

  • Possess Degree in Accounting or equivalent.     
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Possess good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Application such as MS Word and MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and proficiency in computerized accounting system.
  • Possess strong analytical skills, integrity, self-motivated with ability to work independently within a set time line and a strong team player.
TRAINEE ENGINEER (STATIONED AT THE MILLS)

Principal Responsibilities

  • Responsible for any engineering tasks including performing practical and administrative duties assigned by the Mill Manager or superior.
  • Completion of all assigned tasks within given deadlines.
  • Monitor each assigned task, prepare progress reports till completion of assigned task.
  • Prepare daily production report, complete the maintenance monitoring list/history card etc.
  • Assist the superior in daily operation (process/ utility / maintenance) on rotation basis.

Requirements

  • Diploma holder in any related field.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Possess strong analytical skills, integrity and self-motivated with ability to work independently within a set time line and a strong team player.
