ESTATE MECHANIZATION ENGINEER (to be based in Miri HQ)
Principal Responsibilities :
• To test, innovate/develop relevant machinery that can be adopted into plantation operation which can improve workers productivity.
• Work closely with estate operation managers to plan/identify area & mechanization needs in plantation operation.
• To review, analyse and implement estate mechanization projects.
• Prepare or improve engineering designs and plans for agricultural machinery/equipment.
• Provide competency/technical training to machine operators and mechanic.
• Prepare and present mechanization report to management.
Requirements :
• Possess Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics/Agricultural Engineering from recognized university.
• Working experience, interest and exposure with engine, hydraulics, agricultural machinery & PLC will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, research & data gathering skills.
• Able work independently & communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
• Possess valid driving license & willing to travel.
TRAINEE ENGINEER (STATIONED AT THE MILLS)
Principal Responsibilities
- Responsible for any engineering tasks including performing practical and administrative duties assigned by the Mill Manager or superior.
- Completion of all assigned tasks within given deadlines.
- Monitor each assigned task, prepare progress reports till completion of assigned task.
- Prepare daily production report, complete the maintenance monitoring list/history card etc.
- Assist the superior in daily operation (process/ utility / maintenance) on rotation basis.
Requirements
- Diploma holder in any related field.
- Good communication skills.
- Possess strong analytical skills, integrity and self-motivated with ability to work independently within a set time line and a strong team player.
OPERATION MANAGER (To be based in Estate)
Principal Responsibilities
- In charge of day-to-day running of estate operation.
Requirements
- Possess Diploma/Degree in Plantation Management / Agricultural Science or in any related discipline.
- Minimum seven (7) years working experience in executive or managerial position in oil palm plantation.
- Experience in managing peat and mineral soil estate will be an added advantage.
ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
Principal Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation and compilation of data for monthly management reporting.
- Process accounting transactions, such as receipts and payments, receivables and payables, fixed assets etc.
- Prepare reconciliations – bank, creditors’ and debtors’ reconciliation and any other reconciliation.
- Assist in preparation and compilation of documents and transaction recording for treasury function.
Requirements:
- Possess Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Possess good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Application such as MS Word and MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and proficiency in computerized accounting system.
- Possess strong analytical skills, integrity, self-motivated with ability to work independently within a set time line and a strong team player.
INTERNAL AUDIT ASSISTANT (To be based at HQ, Miri)
Principal Responsibilities
- Perform audit assignments (financial / corporate audits) as per approved audit plan and programmes including preliminary works, ie. determine data requirements, verify and analyse available data prior to commencement of proper audit work.
- Prepare working papers, write up, audit findings and supporting documents for audit report.
- Prepare audit findings and recommendations with the auditee during exit conference.
- Provide suggestions and recommendations for improving performance.
- Assist in preparing and compiling Board of Audit Committee (BAC) papers.
- Prepare the departmental budget and monitor the travelling mandays and costs to ensure expenses within the approved budget.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy or its’ equivalent from a tertiary institution.
- Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Team player and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Able to work with little supervision, willing to travel on short notice and possess valid driving license.
- Possess strong knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, rules and regulations.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
STORE KEEPER (To be based in Estate)
Principal Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and record incoming materials or spare parts.
- Maintain proper storage, labeling, and arrangement of stock items.
- Issue materials upon request with proper documentation.
- Perform regular stock take and report discrepancies.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of the store area.
- Update inventory records in EMS Inventory system.
- Coordinate with the procurement department.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisor for reorder needs.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM or equivalent.
- Experience in storekeeping or inventory management is an advantage.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
- Physically fit and able to handle store items.
- Honest, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
MECHANIC (To be based in Estate)
Principal Responsibilities
- To ensure optimum running condition of estate vehicles and machineries.
- To implement preventive maintenance estate daily activities as per planned by the estate management based on working programmed and estate target.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement was SPM.
- Certificate in any Vocational / technical training in vehicle engineering.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
- Willing to be located at any SPB estate.
- Must be physically fit and in excellent health.
Boilerman (Grade 2 / Grade 1)
Responsibilities:
- Daily boiler monitoring: water levels, fuel/air ratio, steam pressure consistency.
- Daily water treatment monitoring: External and Internal treatments.
- Clean fireside, maintain boiler cleanliness, coordinate with steam engineers.
- Support safety controls and perform routine checks.
- DOSH annual boiler inspections preparation.
Requirements:
- DOSH certified Boilerman Grade 2 or Grade 1.
- SPM or equivalent educational qualification.
- Shift flexibility, observant, independence, and strong coordination skills
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience.
Vehicle Workshop Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Oversee workshop servicing of mill vehicles – trucks, loaders, forklifts, excavator.
- Plan and monitor maintenance schedules, spare parts inventory, and budgets.
- Lead technicians, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations (e.g., DOE, DOSH).
- Prepare performance reports and support mill logistics.
Requirements:
- SPM or any relevant vocational qualification.
- Proven supervision experience in industrial vehicle maintenance.
- Strong coordination skills, leadership, and familiarity with health & safety standards.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience.
Maintenance Workshop Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Manage all mill maintenance activities – planning, execution, and budget control.
- Supervise maintenance team across mechanical disciplines.
- Coordinate upgrades, manage projects, and oversee workshop operations.
- Produce monthly reports and analyze workshop performance.
Requirements:
- SPM or any relevant vocational qualification.
- Proven supervision experience in industrial maintenances.
- Experience with boiler operations and palm oil mills equipments or machineries.
- Leadership, project management, and coordination process.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience.
