GENERAL MANAGER (PLANTATION) / SENIOR OPERATION MANAGER

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and administer the day-to-day Estate operations of both regions which includes operating budget, or plan, logistics, manpower, Productivity improvement and work program plan.
  • To execute and ensure all field operation activities are implemented in accordance accepted by the management.
  • To allocate and optimize workforce utilization.
  • To ensure that all Estate facilities and equipment are efficiently managed.
  • To ensure that all environmental and statutory requirement are compiled with.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Agriculture (having an Incorporated Society of Planters’ (ISP) certificate is an added advantage)
  • Ability to work under tight reporting deadlines
  • Possess analytical skills, problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Good interpersonal, supervisory and coaching skills
  • Minimum 5 – 10 years of experience in estate managerial capacity
OPERATION MANAGER (To be based in Estate)

Principal Responsibilities

 In charge of day-to-day running of estate operation.

 Requirements

  • Possess at least a certificate in agriculture/SAVTI or diploma in Plantation Management/Agricultural Science or any related discipline.
  • Minimum seven (7) years working experience in executive or managerial position in oil palm plantation.
  • Experience in managing peat and mineral soil estate will be an added advantage.
SECURITY MANAGER

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Monitor security policies, programs or procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies, licensing requirements, or applicable government security requirements, policies, and directives.
  • Identify, develop, implement and sustain a plan identifying requirements, policies and standard operating procedures necessary to ensure the safety and security of the public (customers) and employees, the security and protection of Company’s properties and assets.
  • Manage the budget requirements related to security operations.
  • Provide timely reporting of incidents including various security statistic reports.
  • Develop and implement relevant security trainings for all security personnel.
  • Provide regular security briefings to senior security personnel in-charge of overall operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Security Management or its equivalent with 10 years’ working experience in Security Management.
  • Retired Inspector or Lieutenant (PDRM or ATM) with minimum 5 years’ experience at Supervisory/Management level in Plantation industry.
  • Must be a person of integrity with good interpersonal and leadership skills.
    DIVISION-IN-CHARGE

    Principal Responsibilities

    • To assist Operation Manager in running day-to-day operation of a division in an estate of about 1,000 – 1,500 hectares.

    Requirements:

    • Possess at least a certificate in agriculture/SAVTI or diploma in Plantation Management/Agricultural Science or any related discipline.
    • Those with only SPM/STPM certificate will be considered with minimum 3 years field working experience.
    • Having experience in charge of both mature and immature field will be an added advantage.
    FIELD SUPERVISOR

    Principal Responsibilities:

    • To supervise daily estate operation activities such as harvesting, manuring, upkeep and maintenance.

    Requirements:

    • Possess at least a SPM/STPM or certificate from SAVTI or any relevant discipline.
    • Possess a valid motorcycle license.
    • Have experience in immature area or new development area.
    MARKETING OFFICER (To be based in Miri)

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Preparing, planning and project managing the publication of all publicity materials to maximize brand promotion.
    • Conducting research and analyzing data to identify market trends and define audience.
    • Maximise profits through developing sales strategies that match customer requirements.
    • Create marketing campaigns with the manager.
    • Responsible for giving technical after sales service to customers.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor in Marketing or any equivalent discipline.
    • Experience in conducting marketing / promotion of any product (oil palm seeds, seedling will be an added advantage).
    • Versatile and able to use both conventional and modern technology for marketing / promoting products.
    • Possess strong analytical skills, integrity and self-motivated with ability to work independently within a set time line, willing to travel and a strong team player.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.

    TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (To be based at SP Training Centre)

    Principal Responsibilities

     To deliver training programme for Oil Palm Plantation Operation & Supervision course (RB-081-3:2012) based on Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia system under Skill Development Department of Human Resource Ministry.

    • To assess competency of trainees based on NOSS: RB-081-3:2012 Oil Palm Plantation Operation & Supervision (29-08-2022) (18-12-2012).
    • To prepare Written Instructional Materials (WIM) namely Notes (kertas penerangan), Assignments (Kertas Tugasan) and Lesson Plan (Kertas Kerja).
    • To ensure each trainee complete his Portfolio at the completion of each module.
    • To coordinate practical training with estate.
    • Keeping records of all training documents as evidence for verification by JPK.

    Requirements

    • Possess VTO (Vocational Training Officer) certificate.
    • Possess DKM (Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia) Sawit Oil Palm Plantation Administration or Possess SKM Level 3 Oil Palm Plantation Operation & Supervision.
    WIRE TECHNICIAN

    Principal Responsibilities:

    • Repair oil palm estate’s machinery and vehicle with wiring problems.

    Requirements:

    • Have prior experience with wiring machineries and vehicles.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safe wiring practices.
    • Good attitude and hard working.
    TRAINEE ENGINEER (R&D)

    Principal Responsibilities:

    • Design prototype machinery using AutoCAD or any related software that can increase worker’s productivity in harvesting, spraying, manuring or any related field activities.
    • To model the prototype design using 3D printer.
    • To work out cost-benefit analysis of the proposed machine’s utilization.
    • To provide estimated budget for each prototype.
    • To supervise, collect and analyze data from field testing/trial.
    • To propose improvements on the existing machine design based on data and feedbacks gathered in the field until commercialization.
    • To provide technical support to on-site mechanics when needed.
    • Troubleshoot and solve problems on machinery on trial.

      Requirements:

      • Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics).
      • Have experience in using AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS and 3D-printer.
      • Possess strong analytical skills, integrity and self-motivated with ability to work independently within a set time line and a strong team player.

        TRAINEE ENGINEER (STATIONED AT THE MILLS)

        Principal Responsibilities

        •  Responsible for any engineering tasks including performing practical and administrative duties assigned by the Mill Manager or superior.
        •  Completion of all assigned tasks within given deadlines.
        •  Monitor each assigned task, prepare progress reports till completion of assigned task.
        •  Prepare daily production report, complete the maintenance monitoring list/history card etc.
        •  Assist the superior in daily operation (process/ utility / maintenance) on rotation basis.

        Requirements

        • Diploma holder in any related field.
        • Good communication skills.
        • Possess strong analytical skills, integrity and self-motivated with ability to work independently within a set time line and a strong team player.
        MANAGEMENT TRAINEE ( MILL & MARKETING DEPARTMENT )

        Principal Responsibilities

         Responsible for performing practical and administrative duties assigned by the General Manager or superior.

        • Provide administrative support (data entry, report writing, data analysis, prepare invoice, process payment, internal and external communication, etc)
        • Keep track of daily market price of CPO, FFB, etc.

         Requirements

        • Certificate holder in any related field.
        • Good communication skills.
        • Possess strong analytical skills, integrity and self-motivated with ability to work independently within a set time line and a strong team player.
        MECHANIC (To be based in Estate)

        Principal Responsibilities

        • To ensure optimum running condition of estate vehicles and machineries.
        • To implement preventive maintenance estate daily activities as per planned by the estate management based on working programmed and estate target.

        Requirements

        • Minimum requirement was SPM.
        • Certificate in any Vocational / technical training in vehicle engineering.
        • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
        • Willing to be located at any SPB estate.
        • Must be physically fit and in excellent health.
